Aerthtobin Comthtposter
THE AEROBIN 400 IS IDEAL FOR BOTH SERIOUS GARDENERS & THOSE WHO JUST WANT A RUGGED COMPOSTER
Either Get Into Hot Composting, or Just Throw Stuff In and Forget About It
While the serious gardener may want hundreds of gallons of compost quickly & continuously, the Aerobin also works for those who simply want a rugged, nice looking bin to put kitchen scraps and some leaves. into
Keeps Pests Outside and Heat & Odors Inside
Aerobin's rugged lid, sides & access doors are all double-walled & foam insulated to retain the natural heat of composting, which greatly speeds things up. It's tightly fitted construction keeps odors in and pests out.

WHICH AEROBIN SIZE FITS YOUR NEEDS & SPACE
The Aerobin 400 - 111 Gallon Standing Capacity 29" x 29" x 47" tall
The 400 is called the KING of composters for its large output of compost & liquid fertilizer. It is twice the size of the 200 & twice the capacity with a potential annual yield up to 400 gallons. The 400's insulated walls are thicker to hold heat in longer than the 200
The Aerobin *200 - 55 Gallon Standing Capacity 19" x 19" x 47" tall *(see its individual product listing)
The 200 is called the PRINCE of composters compared to the 400. Its standing capacity and annual output yield are considerably less than the 400 but they both break organic matter down to rich compost regardless.

THINK OF AEROBIN as a 2-for-1 PURCHASE
A Lot of Compost of Course, But Also its Magic Liquid Fertilizer
The rich compost itself, and wheelbarrows of it, are enough for most people, but the powerful liquid fertilizer by the gallon is the quiet hero of the Aerobin. Many gardeners focus on it as much as the compost itself. Compost Tea (organic leachate) absorbs into roots immediately and much faster than compost can.

Rich Black Compost Continuously
If you want a good yield asap, fill the Aerobin near the top right away to allow the microbes to start multiplying which starts the heating

Compost by the Wheelbarrow
If you keep the Aerobin warm to hot which is easy to do, it will make compost 10-20 times faster

Fresh Leachate is Compost Tea, Great Organic Fertilizer for Indoor & Outdoor Use
Less than a month after filling the Aerobin for the first time, you'll begin to drain this rich compost tea. Dilute as much as 10:1 if you wish, and its not suggested to use at full strength

Great For Vegetable Gardens, Flowering Plants, as Well as Lawns
Use this nutrient rich & purely organic leachate as often as its available in the base reservoir. Remember to dilute it before use.
NATURE HAS 3 REQUIREMENTS FOR FASTER HIGH-YIELD COMPOSTING
Think: HEAT - CONSTANT AIR FLOW - MOISTURE (but not too wet)
The Aerobin will push those three factors and was specifically developed to do that. It was reverse engineered through an Australian University Study, to speed up the decomposition process for more shovelfulls and less work on your part. Extra HEAT, AIR, & MOISTURE CONTROL can increase finished compost up to 20x faster.

FILL IT to HEAT IT
Heat speeds things up 10x-20x
-140-160F kills weed seeds which is good, but too long at this temp also kills the good microbes that we want
-60-70F is ideal for for maintenance 'warm' composting and will deliver maximum results in yield
-60F and below will need a jolt of nitrogen & heat to get back into the ideal range

CONSTANT AIR FLOW
Air feeds the hard working sweet smelling microbes and kills the lazy bad smelling ones

MOISTURE (but not too wet)
A compost pile must be moist, but if too wet or soggy, will temporarily slow down the process, and could smell badly till corrected (which is easy)
AEROBIN'S 3 PATENTED FEATURES to ADDRESS NATURE'S 3 REQUIREMENTS
See Below the 3 Patented Features That Speed Up Composting 10x-20x
Once Again, Heat allows the decomposing microbes to multiply quickly. Fresh Air feeds those good microbe workers, and kills off the smelly microbes. The reservoir gathers the nutrient rich 'compost tea' (leachate) for removal as liquid fertilizer

FOAM FILLED SIDES, LID, DOORS, HOLD IN THE NATURAL HEAT
Double Wall Foam Insulated Walls, Doors & Lid. Walls are 1.5" thick on the 400. 1" thick on the 200

CENTER 'LUNG' KEEPS AIR MOVING INSIDE THE PILE
Center air lung draws air up from the ventilated base. Air in tube warms from the heat, that warm air rises pulling more air in. Air escapes from the two cones into the compost pile

MOISTURE CAPTURE RESERVOIR IS GOLDEN
Fresh organic material breaks down releasing water in the form of vapor or steam. This moisture seeps downward picking up nutrients and collects in the base reservoir for use as liquid fertilizer
A LOOK INSIDE: HOW THOSE 3 FEATURES ACTUALLY WORK
- Foam Insulated Sides, Doors, Lid - Center Lung Air System - Reservoir to Capture Instant Liquid Fertilizer
- If you want compost fast, you need to fill it up to get the heat going
- Heat warms the air in the center pipe which pulls more air upward through ventilated base
- Air feeds the microbles that do the work and kills off the mincrobes that smell badly
- Heated moisture (steam) condensates and seeps downward picking up nutrients & collects in the reservoir for use
- Pure organic compost tea (leachate) is removed through tube & valve, which some say is more valuable than the compost itself

First time filling only, line bottom with newspaper, then roughly layer fresh over dry, & repeat

If Possible, Include 2-3" Grass Clippings for Immediate Heat. If it gets too wet, add dry material
Dry material can be brown grocery bags, newspaper, dried leaves, etc
FILL IT AS BEST YOU CAN RIGHT AWAY TO GET THE HEAT GOING
Remember, You Only Need to Fill it Fast if You Want Compost Faster
The more full, the more HEAT right away. Remember to mix or layer fresh to dry material. Just don't let it get soggy

Filling it Fast Gets the Entire Pile Heating Up
This gets the natural heat process started in the first couple days. The heat is literally caused by the microbes decomposing the organic matter. It is a natural chemical reaction between the mulitplying microbes and the decaying process they create

GRASS CLIPPINGS ARE VERY HIGH IN NITROGEN and NITROGEN FEED'S THE HARD WORKING MICROBES
Kitchen scraps are essential too, and hugely reduce our landfill issues. Grass clipping's high nitrogen content create immediate heat.

DRY MATERIAL (often called carbon), ABSORB EXCESS MOISTURE AND REDUCE A SOGGY EFFECT
Too much moisture might lead to soggy which greatly slows the entire process down and also feeds the smelly microbes
WEEK BY WEEK PROGRESS CAN LOOK LIKE THIS (if the pile just stays relatively warm)
Results Will Vary But You Should Notice the Top Layer Constantly Dropping. Warm is Fine, Hotter is Better
Call us for assistance if top level is not dropping, and read further down on how to speed things up even more.

Fill to Start is Best
Get's the natural heat going & speeds things up

Should at Least Drop this Far Weekend to Weekend
Keep refilling

If You're After Maximum Yields, Refill Now
Most of the heat is at and above the top cone. Keep refilling

For Maximum Yield Potential, This is Too Low
But you'll still be making great compost, just a little less of it. Add more organics and get the heat going again
IF YOUR GOAL IS A LOT OF COMPOST, KEEP IT WARM & EXPECT THESE RESULTS QUICKLY
Not Everyone Needs So Much Compost, But its Possible to Attain This Batch in 2-4 Months. After That its a Continuous Cycle of New Compost
If you keep an eye on it, these yields are likely, and consider speeding things up even more with suggestions found further down (see 3 Specific Adders to Speed Things Up)

Back of Access Door Imprinted Itself Into Fresh Compost
That's how fine of compost you can get, especially with the addition of things mentioned further down (3 Adders)

Remove with shovel
Notice the red wiggler earthworms working the bottom half of the Aerobin. They also work the top layer of fresh organics.

Only a portion of the bottom half
Its hard to believe that just a couple months ago this was leaves, grass clippings, orange peels, celery and anything else from the kitchen.

Bottom half of composter can produce this amount 8-12 times per year
Using a garbage can can allow sticky compost to dry out for easier spreading
SPEED THINGS UP EVEN MORE: 3 GREAT ADDERS FOR FASTER COMPOST
Red Wiggler Worms, Compost Accelerators, an Extra Hole Here & There

Add Red Wiggler Worms
Red wigglers eat anything 24/7, multiply quickly and are easy to find for purchase. Standard brown earthworms are picky eaters and don't multiply as quickly, but they still help break things down.

Compost Accelerators in Liquid or Granulated Form
These products are the very microbes that you want in your composter, so they quickly add to the population of good worker microbes.

An Option is to Occasionally Jab Holes 12" Down for Additional Air Pockets
It is NOT necessary to 'turn the pile', just create a few holes with a shovel or rod of any kind. For added punch & heat, add grass clippings or chicken manure to the holes
